Business mistakes to avoid
Embracing mistakes plays a key contributing factor if you are going to grow as a business owner and a person.
We all make mistakes. It’s how we over overcome those mistakes that allow us to grow.
(PS - there is no such thing as a wrong mistake because every decision you have made as ed you to where you are now).
Do you learn from them? Or do you get frustrated and take nothing away from them?
You need embrace change and mistakes! It’s failing forward that will build your resilience to have a business that will last long term. Never feel bad or sorry for yourself for making a mistake because they are all meant to be. Everything happens for a reason.
I have over 350 business owners, coaches, experts, healers, financial advisors, etc, in my community who have all paid for my high-end programs and, I’ve noticed, there is commonalities between practically all of them. One of these commonalities are the mistakes they make! This is why I have decided to create lists of common mistakes to avoid! Being aware of these mistakes will accelerate the success of your business. From marketing mistakes to branding mistakes to start-up business mistakes to entrepreneurial mistakes, I have really seen it all. And it’s not just my clients making mistakes – I have made so so so many of them!!!
Honestly, all the mistakes I have made have helped me to run a million-dollar business because I have learned and grown from each one. I also never make the same mistake twice. Of course, all of this is easier said than done. However, if you take ownership of your mistakes, then the mistake is usually worth it.
Often enough, fixing these mistakes are just tweaking small things to make the necessary improvements to make every area in your business even better! In business, we tend to make decisions from avoiding pain and going for pleasure.
A mistake I made at the beginning was thinking I wasn’t a good leader or boss. I thought I didn’t have the skills or patience to teach people so I kept avoiding it and even tried finding a CEO so they can look after all the areas I didn’t want to do and focus on what I am good at. So I hired a CEO and it went soo wrong! This person was not aligned with my bigger picture and they were just using my business to help their business. The reality check here? I had to learn to be okay with doing things I wasn’t good at and didn’t want to do and now I’m willing to do these things to keep learning and growing. How interesting, right?! I had to learn to keep walking my talk and keep doing the things I teach my clients.
I had to stay humble enough to go back and do things I don’t enjoy as much to show my audience I can walk by talk.
Take a moment and write down 3 mistakes you have made in your business and the lessons you’ve learned from them.
