Fear ALMOST got in the way of me reaching my dreams.
When I was young and had no idea about what I wanted to do with my life, my brother Patrizio told me that I should check out a personal development seminar. At first I thought “no way!! That’s not for me!” I had all kinds of concerns and fears about going to this seminar because it was outside of my comfort zone.
Even though I pushed back at first I decided to give it a try, and you won’t believe what happened…
I fell in LOVE with personal development. It changed my life!!
You can’t reach your full potential when fears are holding you back. What can you do to fight your fears?
Start with these 5 tips:
1.Be yourself
Do you want to be loved and accepted by others? When I first came to Australia I was self-conscious about my background, my accent and who I was as a person…but I’ll let you in on a little secret.
My greatest success came when I started BEING myself and LOVING myself all the time. That’s when I found love and acceptance from others!
Sometimes we go through life pretending to be someone else because we don’t think the world wants us as we really are. But you can’t pretend forever! Seriously people want to see the real you!!
2.Keep doing what you love
Don’t feel guilty about spending time on the things you love. Your passions show who you are as a person and they make life worth living!
I love meeting people and helping entrepreneurs, and I’ve built my entire life and business around that. I absolutely love what I do because I’m following my passion!
3. Try meditating
Meditating is such a great way to find peace and to feel more centered in life. It might feel weird at first, but once you’ve got it down you’ll look forward to it everyday.
Meditating is so effective for pushing out fears because it reminds you that you are in charge of your mind. It stops that negative voice in your head that says “you can’t do this” or “you’re not good enough for that”. It also makes more room for positive affirmations and thoughts. We could all use more of those, right?
4. Surround yourself with supporters
You’re going to go through a lot of ups and downs as you try to get past your fears. You need supporters–even if it’s just a few people–to help you on the road ahead.
Remember that you won’t benefit at all from hanging out with people who cut you down and tell you that your dreams are not worth following. Look for people who rally around you, not people who want to see you fail!
5. Be more and give more
My motto is give give give. The universe WILL give back to you when you open yourself up and help others, and new opportunities will come your way.
It can be scary at first to give and to share but you will get so much in return. Don’t be afraid of this!
