Business strategies to take you business to the next level
I have experienced the best and the worst bits of owning a business. From hitting the one-million-dollar mark to worrying if my business is going to survive over the next few months – it’s safe to say business is risky and it’s painful, but if it was easy then everyone would do it. I believe the pros far outweigh the cons, which is why I stick with it!! My business is my passion and my passion is helping other people with their so they can help more people – it’s a ripple effect that has a positive influence on so many communities. I have been doing this for over five years now and over these years, I have developed various strategies to help business owners run a business they are proud of and that is successful.
It all starts with growing your following online. There’s no doubt we live in an online world now and it is expected that you and your business will have a social media presence for people to find you. You need to have a following online for people to find you, rather your competitors. The more of a following you have, the more social proof, credibility and trust you will have with people, which means more clients coming your way. To help convert your audience into clients, you have to make sure you are nurturing them soo much! You need to interact, give value and give away free products or services!! Don't forget once you convert your audience, you need to continue to nurture your clients.
When your following gets larger and you are getting more clients, you need to grow your team as well. I think this is vital to growth of a business because you will need someone to help you with tasks while you are busy nurturing your clients. It was soo scary hiring my first employee because that meant I was responsible for someone else’s salary, which meant their income to live!!! It was sooo worth it though, that person helped me take my business to the next level because we were able to do double the work and reach even more people. You also need to start collaborating with other people!! This will help you be seen as a leader in front of new people, which means more chances of getting new clients. Before you agree to a collaboration, you need to make sure all parties will benefit from the exchange. Collaboration is such a powerful tool and I’ve noticed people don’t use this as often as they should.
